Snoring

Snoring happens when air can't move freely through your nose and throat while sleeping. There are about 15 million snorers in the UK. For those that snore regularly or loudly, it can affect the quality of not just their own sleep, but their partner's too. 

Snoring can be caused by a variety of things including; age, being overweight, build, medications, nasal problems and alcohol. 

If you snore very loudly, fall alseep during conversation or stop breathing, gasp or choke when sleeping, you should see your GP as this could be a sign of SLEEP APNOEA which can be dangerous if left untreated.

The NimroSilenscer moves the mandible forward using flexible plastic hinges to connect the upper and lower splints. Varying sizes of hinges are supplied to allow the mandible to move further forward. This advancement in the mandible helps to open the airways and prevent snoring. 

The appliance is custom designed and manufactured in a fully digital proccess and is made out of an innovative material which increases comfort and minimises breakages. 

The other type of appliance we can provide is an anti-snoring appliance with a mandibular advancement screw.  OrthoApnea contains a titanium screw which connects the upper and lower splints, allowing the gradual advancement of the mandible.
