Tooth Whitening

At Park Avenue Dental Care we use Boutique Whitening, a premium, award winning, whitening formula. It gives you the freedom of whitening during the day (you wear the trays for an hour) or at night when you are sleeping (you wear the trays for 6-8hours). 

Why do we use Boutique:

- It is a pH neutral gel to protect the teeth.

- It contains Potassium Nitrate to reduce sensitivity.

- It has a high water content to help keep teeth hydrated.

- It is a thicker gel to prevent saliva washout.

How does it work?

The Boutique whitening gel breaks down to form oxygen ions, which remove surface stains while also penetrating deeper into the tooth, whitening it from the inside out. 

How white will my teeth go?

Because everyone's teeth are different, the speed and extent that teeth will whiten varies for each person. When we check your teeth we can give an indicator of approximately what colour change can be expected.

What is involved with whitening?

At the first appointment we would do a 3D scan of your teeth and send these to our trusted dental laboratory. They would then make custom whitening trays for You. 

We then get You back for a second appointment where we fit the whitening trays and ensure they are seating correctly. We would take a record of the current Shade of Your teeth and then show You how to carry out the whitening treatment. We would carry out the first whitening treatment in the dental chair. 

We would then have you carry out the whitening at home and normally we would get You back 3-4 weeks later to check on Your progress and ensure You are happy with the results.
